Jefferson Park Congregational Church –
2nd Church
The church was located where the present day church stands at Giddings & London.
The original black & white photograph shows wooden planks crossing Giddings
Street, which at that time was a dirt road. The window above the door reads,
First Congregational Church. The Church was built in 1896 at a cost of $8,000.
Fire destroyed the church in November 1928. Photo taken by John Groenier, circa:
1900.

The Jefferson Park Historical Society is always looking for new ideas and suggestions about areas to explore, historically speaking. Information from the community is the best source, so we hope you will contact us with information and pictures that will help lead to a more complete documented history of Jefferson Park. |
